I have lived and traveled in many places and have been lucky enough to call outdoor spaces my office for many years. I am a trained environmental educator and safari guide who has worked extensively in the United States and South Africa.

Currently I am a PhD student at the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in science education. My research interests include connecting people to nature and using informal experiences to help create a positive environmental identity in learners. I am also interested in traditional ecological knowledge and its integration into Western science.
