Respect.
Mark does himself a disservice when he says “i collect mug shots.” He’s a curator of mugs and he makes mugs happen when he makes collages happen. We don’t talk about the human face enough on Flickr but that’s okay because we have Least Wanted to show us how the human face can be dissected over and over again.
this stream may be the darkest and most intense in the entire flickr universe....i find it difficult to look at for any length of time...which ironically...is why i enjoy it so much
mr. mark michaelson is one of my favorites.
this man shows me how close I am to nobody. nobody famous, nobody seen, nobody heard, nobody wanted. and somehow, I come away feeling a little more human.
He likes these sad criminals...and that is heartwarming.
I'm going to fave this one image as a univeral FAVE for ALL your wonderful documents and your effort to keep them archived and alive. Your Flickrsite is magnificent. I should write you a testimonial with exactly those words and after Monday, I will. Oh Pshaw...why not NOW.
Thank you.
totally brilliant,i love this mans dedication vision and creative tenacity. and now a book published by stiedl the best photobook makers on the planet. mark should have a courthouse named after him.
the king!
It's a Real pleasure maybe a RARE chance to look at a fantastic collection for FREE! and with LARGER scan.. Thanks Mark.
As we see people who are more than numbers from the past, I think he reminds us on a daily basis to see the Least Wanted with fresh eyes in the present as well. Captivating, addictive and all too human.
Mark fucking RULES !
Mark's is the first collection of Flickr photos that has truly captivated me. This is powerful stuff. Thanks to Norm for the intro.
