"There is nothing in this world that does not have a decisive moment"

- Henri Cartier-Bresson

A photo class I took in college exposed me to the brilliant works of Stieglitz, Cartier-Bresson, Weston, Cunningham, Ansel Adams, and other greats of the 20th century and was the initial spark that, many years later, continues to inspire me to observe and document the world around me through the lens of a camera. That spark was rekindled in 2005 when I attended an exhibit of Adams' work, the brilliance of which still gives me chills! My passion for travel keeps that spark going, with countless opportunities to create images that tell a story, or just make for a pleasing picture. Whether it's travel, street, landscape, or some other style of shooting, photography has become a wonderfully fulfilling hobby and gives me a much-needed, right-brain, creative balance to the analytical, engineering world I lived in for many years.

My thanks to all those who post their remarkable images on Flickr for others to enjoy. And my sincere gratitude to those who comment on my work, so that I may improve my skills. It's always nice to know I can brighten someone's day the way your work brightens mine.

Lastly - I kindly ask that you please do not use my photos without permission. Hi-res images of many photos are available for purchase.
