I'm a landscape architect who fell in love with photography in high school. My favorite subjects are aviation/airshows, nature/wildlife, mid-century modern architecture, and anything tiki!
A few things I've learned during my short time on Flickr:
1. I'm not a huge fan of HDR Photographs. Some are okay, but the original photograph is more pleasing to me.
2. I used to think the only thing worse than a photo not making the "Explore" list, is that once one of your photos makes the "Explore" list, the agony waiting for the second one to show up is almost unbearable.
3. I can't believe the amount of crap that actually makes the "Explore" list. I know I'm not the worlds' best photographer, but come on! LOL
4. If you're a girl, and you take a picture of yourself, it will make the "Explore" list.
5. If you are a girl, and you take a picture of yourself, and it makes the "Explore" list, then the following is true: The sexier the pose and the more skin you show is in direct proportion to how high on the list your picture will rank. (I have now officially titled this one the "Leaky Tiki Flickr Theorem")
6. Pictures of pretty girls get more views and more comments than pictures of pretty birds and pretty flowers.
7. There seem to be a lot more female photographers on flickr than male, especially on the "Explore" list. Just check...really!
8. I don't really care about making the "Explore" list anymore. I take photos for my enjoyment and hopefully you'll like them too.
Please respect the copyright of my images. I do this for fun and don't mind if someone wants to use my photos for a blog, just please drop me a flickr mail and let me know ahead of time. Thanks!

One of the friendliest people I’ve met on flickr. Boyd puts a lot of thought into every upload. Whether it’s color, light, composition, every picture is a photographical gem. I’m just amazed at the balance and detail of each photo, too. He must have one of the steadiest hands because the focus on all of his pictures is perfect. Boyd doesn’t rely totally on photo enhancing software, either. It’s just him and his camera, all pictures having a very real and natural look. I’m blessed to have Boyd as a contact. His photo stream is one of more interesting on flickr.
