Quem sou:

Entusiasta da fotografia, cultiva-a como uma das suas paixões. Não tenho animais de estimação (os que aparecem nas fotos não são meus!) e nem filhos.

 

Objetivo (aqui):

Aprender, aprender e aprender.

 

Acho a fotografia fascinante, uma experiência particular de expressão do nosso ponto de vista sobre o mundo. A arte da criatividade em captar - e principalmente transmitir - o momento que não acontecerá mais.

 

Navego horas e horas nos photostreams do Flickr, reconhecendo em cada um uma particularidade interessante. É só olhar nos meus contatos e verão pessoas especialistas em macros, em flores, em retratos, em fotos noturnas, em reflexos, enfim. Poderia citar muitos especialistas aqui, mas convido-os a dar uma espreitadela na minha lista de contatos e verão verdadeiros mestres da fotografia.

 

Continuo a partilhar minhas fotos (mesmo achando que não são grande coisa), obter feedback dos outros utilizadores e dar o meu feedback também às outras fotografias. Penso que é esta troca de experiências que nos faz crescer. Sempre que possível (que a disposição e o tempo me permitem) faço comentários nas fotos que eu gosto, mesmo que seja para expressar algum detalhe que eu não goste. Aprecio todo o tipo de comentário também, desde que seja sincero, porque apesar de tentar encontrar um estilo próprio, é por eles que corrijo os meus erros e me permite ver se estou no caminho certo ou não. Para mim, este é o espírito Flickr.

 

Por fim, vejo muita gente boa neste site, gente pelas quais crio admiração pelo trabalho e que me fazem continuar seguindo meu caminho, mesmo sabendo que ainda tenho muito chão para percorrer.

A minha história com a fotografia (Para quem tem paciência e gosta de ler histórias):

 

Sempre gostei de fotografia, mas de uma forma completamente amadora. Ganhei a minha primeira câmera fotográfica com 12 anos, uma Kodak (já não me lembro o modelo). Me lembro que fazia todos rirem para eu fotografar, dizendo: "Olha o passarinho!", e que mesmo sabendo que isto era um chavão para as crianças olharem para a câmera, sabia que funcionava pelo resultado que produzia. Enfim, uma experiência inocente, mas a câmera me serviu durante alguns anos.

 

Depois disso, não fotografei mais, até vir morar em Portugal e com a ideia de viajar, comprei uma Canon Pixma 135, em 1996. Comprei-a porque tinha um bom zoom e funções automáticas, e serviria para fotografias de viagem. Me lembro que nessa altura, minha ideia de ISO era algo rude como: ISO 100 era para fotos de dia, e ISO 200 ou ISO 400 era para fotografias dentro de museus. Foi então que em 2001 me rendi às digitais e então comprei outra compacta, mas digital: a Fuji Finepix 5800z. Por esta altura, o que eu queria mesmo era uma máquina que não me estragasse as fotos, do estilo "point and shoot" e que ainda tivesse uma boa resolução (3 Megapixeis).

 

Comecei a me interessar mais com o contato com a digital, que atiçou a minha curiosidade pelas informações de f-stop e tempo de exposição que sempre apareciam quando fazia o foco, apesar de a Fuji não me permitir ainda controlar isto. Comprei, junto com a revista National Geographic, o Curso Completo de Fotografia, que tem sido o meu guia auto didático até aqui. Posso dizer que foi minha entrada verdadeira ao mundo da fotografia. E foi então que em Fevereiro de 2008, numa viagem a Nova Iorque pensei em adquirir uma máquina que pudesse utilizar alguns controles que aprendi no curso, e então comprei a Canon PowerShot S5IS, que uso até agora.

 

Atualmente a reflex Canon 50D ainda me perturbar o pensamento, mas confesso que ainda tenho algum chão para percorrer até dominar as técnicas de fotografia e fazer jus ao uso da 50D.

I think photography is fascinating, it is a particular experience of expression from our views of the world. The art of creativity to capture - and especially forward - the moment that does not happen anymore.

 

I navigate hours and hours on Flickr photostreams, recognizing in each one interesting feature. Just look in my contacts and see specialists in macros, in flowers, in portraits, photos at night, in reflection, finally. I could cite many experts here, but I invite you to have a look in my contact list and see true masters of photography.

 

I continue to share my photos (even I don't think is a great thing), get feedback from other users and also give my feedback to other photos. I think it is this exchange of experience that makes us grow. Where possible (patience and time available) I comment on the photos that I like, even if it is to express some detail that I do not like. I appreciate all the kind of comment, too, if it is honest, because despite trying to find a style, it is they who fix my mistakes and let me see if I'm on the right way or not. For me, this is the spirit of Flickr.

 

Finally, I see very good people on this site, people who I create admiration by them work and who help me to make my own path, even knowing that I have much more to do.

My history with the photography (For those who have patience and like to read stories):

 

I always liked photography, but in a completely amateur mode. I won my first camera at 12 years a Kodak (no longer remember the model). I remember that I had to laugh all shooting, saying: "Look at the birdie!" And even though this was a buzzword for the children look at the camera, I know that worked for the result it produces. Finally, an innocent experience, but I used the camera for a few years.

 

After that, no more changes, when I came to live in Portugal with the idea of traveling, I bought a Canon PIXMA 135, in 1996. I bought it because it had a good zoom and automatic functions, and serve to travel photos. I remember that at that time, my idea of ISO was something rude as: ISO 100 was for pictures of day, and ISO 200 or ISO 400 was for photography in museums. It was in 2001 and I surrender to digital world and bought my first digital camera: the Fuji FinePix 5800z. At this time, I wanted it as a machine that don't blur my photos, want something like a "point and shoot" and that still had a good resolution (3 megapixels).

 

I started to get in touch with the digital world, which excite my curiosity for the information of f-stop and exposure time that always appear on the back screen when the focus was done, although the Fuji does not even allow me to control this. I bought, along with the National Geographic magazine, the full course of Photography, which has been my guide to self teaching until here. I can say that was my entry to the real world of photography. It was in February 2008, in a trip to New York when I thought about buying a machine that I could use some controls that I learned in the course, and then bought a Canon PowerShot S5IS, which I use until now.

 

Currently, the reflex Canon 50D still disturbs me the thought, but I confess that I still have some ground to go before mastering the techniques of photography and do justice to the use of 50D.
