Empty nester, mother of two terrific kids who are no longer kids at all, rather they have grown into wonderful adults whom I am extremely proud of, and I'm not just saying that because they're my kids. : )
I have always loved photography, used my husband's Minolta SRT101 and Yashica Mat124, Minolta X-700, and a very old Leica.until I got my first digital several years ago, a Casio QV2000. After my husband accidentally dropped it on the garage floor, I got a Kodak DX7630 which took decent photos but didn't allow a whole lot of manual control. Finally Santa gave me a Nikon D50 for Christmas 2005 and currently use a Nikon D80.
In addition to photography, I also love working with glass. There are stained glass, mosaics and fused glass sets on my flickr page full of glass pieces I have made.
I've been keeping busy lately running a little glass business from my home-based studio. My favorite place to sell is on Etsy. Mostly full of fused glass pendants, I also sometimes have stained glass, notecards and photography in my shop. They can be seen at www.etsy.com/shop/creativecolorfusion/

With photos this great there is NO WAY that she hasn't been doing this professionally for at least 30 or 40 years. If you look up the Pulitzer Prize winning photos of the last 20 years, I'd bet at least a dozen of them were her's. Even if the attributed name is different, notice the composition? Yeah... Just like Lawatha's. See the keen use of the depth of field? Just like Lawatha's too. Uh huh... The sharp contrast? Again, just like Lawatha's. Yeah, You know what I mean. The nerve of some people. You've heard of Pool Sharks, and Card Sharks, right? She is a Photo Shark! When you view LaWatha's photos, know that you are looking at the real deal.

How to describe LaWatha, now I got the privilege to know her better? I believe the shortest and most accurate description is to say: "She cares." I mean really cares. About people she knows, her family and friends, about nature. And, of course, about the Flickr groups she administers. And she invests lots of her time and effort into everything she cares about. What she doesn't care about, are people looking for trouble. But when such people pick on her, they forget she's got many friends and the trouble they're pushing into might become more than they were bargaining for... About her photos: Well, no doubt they're better than mine. But that's just because she's got newer and better camera than mine. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (And I swear I know absolutely nothing about her 50 year old Leica and any stunning photos she might have taken with that Leica as well.)
