Now it must be my turn to write Lau a testimonial! Met her at John's shortly after I joined Flickr, where she had a good time together with Carla and John! I wondered what was going on, it looked really strange! But I got used to all the bonkers stuff and came to like it! Lau takes wonderful pics, nothing is too big or small, to catch her attention. Beautiful cathedrals, lovely snowy Norwegian landscapes, the Thames, her friends, food and drink, she shoots them all! The way she enjoys the world shines through in the way she takes her pics. Lau is a great friend! It is such a pleasure to be around her, she is so considerate, caring, and loving, and her comments are both funny and nice. And nobody can find that many strange faces in a pic as she can!

I've no idea how or when I came into contact with Laura's photostream but ever since then her pictures have been a ray of light colouring my world . Il fotografo deve diventare soprattutto autore per contrastare la generazione informatizzata.'. Ed è proprio guardando le foto di Laura che si arriva alla conclusione che nella vita non ci si guarda mai abbastanza intorno. O forse uno guarda troppo, ma tutto troppo male, e alla fine vede poco. Le sue foto, come quelle di grandi fotografi della storia, sono una risposta a chi dice che la fotografia non è un'arte, che per fotografare ci vuole solo un bell'angolino del mondo e una macchina fotografica. Laura dimostra che il soggetto di una fotografia non sta nei bei colori, o nel mare che si fotografa, o nel sorriso, ma sta nell'attimo, nei pensieri che riempiono la nostra mente mentre scattiamo quella foto. Il fotografo non è altro che un poeta di un unico pensiero, pensato solo una volta, con testimone un bel paesaggio che sorride con il suo sole, e ci guarda con due nuvoloni enormi. Paesaggio che ha solo ispirato il pensiero, e centra poco con la bellezza della foto. La bellezza nelle foto di Laura è sì anche visibile, ma penso che il più stava nella luminosità dei suoi occhi. La bravura, sta nel saperli cercare nella foto.

C'è chi fa una foto solo se il soggetto è bello, c'è chi la fa solo se è il momento giusto, c'è chi la scatta senza pensarci troppo, c'è chi fa una foto solo se ha abbastana memoria sulla scheda, ma lei no, nulla di tutto questo. Lei scatta le sue foto quando prova un'emozione, quando sente un brivido, quando è felice, quando vuole ricordare quel momento, ed è per questo che le sue foto, ogni singola foto che scatta, racchiude qualcosa di prezioso, un frammento della sua vita, un attimo racchiuso nella sua memoria. E ci sono foto che non solo trasmettono tutto questo, ma ti fanno sognare quel luogo e ti fanno venir voglia di... viaggiare! lei è una viaggiatrice del tempo e come tutte le vere viaggiatrici ferma il tempo con un solo click!
