Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Laurie Anne is a North Queensland based documentary and portrait photographer. She thrives on creating introspective portrait essays that reveal the authentic story and natural character and beauty of her subjects. She is particularly focused on social narratives that are obscured by ethos but worthy of an audience.

For the past 30 years, Laurie Anne has been a practicing psychic medium and has an extensive background in Alternative Health Care with over 25 years experience in osteopathic, somatic and neuro-acoustic therapies. Lastly, Laurie Anne is a 7th Dan Shihan of a Japanese Spiritual Art.

In 2012, Laurie Anne made the decision to retire the alternative health care side of her practice and dove into her creative passion for portrait photography, emanating from a deep compassion for the human condition.

Laurie Anne resides in a remote Tropical North Queensland with her Australian husband and their 3 beloved standard poodles, their surrogate family.
