Laurence!!! I haven't written you one of these either! I don't know how long ago you wrote me one but i just now realized i haven't approved it! Anyways ahem, Laurence takes the best pictures ever. I am picky when it comes to photos that are good, and it is very easy for me to say Laurence's photos are all good! His portraits invite you into the lives of his subjects, while his landscapes gently beckon you into their simple, yet incredibly intense scenes. His playful control over light and shadow takes you straight into the soul of the young photographer himself. His colors range from childlike pastels to intense, vibrant, blacks and reds. At only 17, he reminds us of how art and age have no real correlation. Laurence captures the very essence of photography- and this 'grab life by the horns' mentality is what truly places him into a league of photographers often lost in the huge array of styles and genres- the artists.

Well, I figure I should return the favor for my talented friend right here since I've been a bad flickr buddy and haven't commented on anything. Anyways, Laurence is an amazing photographer; I can never even guess what sort of picture he's going to produce next and I'm sure he has always got all sorts of fantastic ideas floating around in his head, waiting to be unleashed. I think he experiments a lot with different subjects and techniques and I think that really works to his advantage because he constantly cranks out high quality work and never ceases to disappoint. I am glad that I know someone who feels the same about photography as I do.
