I discovered photography in August 2010, and I have not put my camera down since then. I'm hooked!
Photography is a good fit for me for several reasons. It amplifies my natural inclination to explore the world around me. I derive great pleasure in capturing nature's wonders in an image. Photographs give me the ability to relive an experience visually and also share those experiences with others. I've found photography a great means of self expression, not only what I compose in my viewfinder, but also the post processing phase where my creativity can run wild. The real bonus with photography is I'm happy doing it, which is the BEST part of all.

Excellent pictures Laura, and a lot of good ones, I had a great time looking at these :) it also brought back a memory of the one and only time I have been to Jackson Hole, I saw a Moose eating all the flowers out of this yard of someone's house, this Moose loves to eat flowers haha you could see he ate his way across the yard :) there was only a few flowers left he was working on those when I drove by :) it was the funniest thing to see, when I was looking at your beautiful pictures, it just was great to remember that, you have a great eye and you do excellent work :)

J'apprécie énormément la galerie de Laura. Ses photos sont une ode aux grands espaces. Elle vit au Michigan et je retrouve dans ces photos les descriptions que j'ai lu dans les livres d'auteurs américains. Les traitements sont naturels et les couleurs ne sont pas caricaturales comme sur certaines postées dans Flickr.
Laura is an excellent photographer. Her work is both inspiring and beautiful. She captures her surroundings and the nature expertly. I always look forward to seeing something new from Laura. Keep the great work coming...
