I have a special niche for blogging and writing fiction, especially in the magical realism genre. I've kind of taken my enthusiasm one step further by adding this ingredient into my indie business, Girls and Happiness. I am getting back to my roots in magical realism with a collection of short stories based on The Everyday Adventures of Sunny Vida. The website is geared towards helping women to achieve their, happiest, best selves through lifestyle design and Secret Mailbox Surprises. This nature-inspired blog community falls under the reduce, reuse, recycle guise and has been created to help women design their dream lives while building a community.

The past few years, between a divorce and financial instability, have been a struggle for me. Normally, I wouldn't air my personal, dirty laundry. However, it is by going through these life battles that I realized that I wanted to really make a difference in this world. I wanted to do more then just contribute from the sidelines. I wanted to overcome and rise above my situation in order to help women all over the world. I knew that if I could do that then others would feel that they could too. More importantly, I wanted to give them the tools that brought me out of the dark ages and back into the light. I used this downtime to educate myself. I began taking classes to become a Life Coach and I finally received my certification to become a Personal Fitness Trainer.

In my free time, I really love spending it with my three daughters. We love to do beach clean ups, sea turtle rescue, and virtually anything that has to do with nature. Luckily, we live in sunny, beautiful Florida where the nature is pristine and outdoor activities are plenty. I'm trying to teach my girls to appreciate this beautiful planet that we dwell upon.
