here's the thing about self-portrait artists like love4life: i think it takes great courage and a strong stand to shoot selfies - that is unless you're a meglomaniac which for the moment i will assume she's not. So we come to these crossroads where the self-portrait artist is modeling and they are naked or just-as-good-as, as we find love4life in many of her portraits. In one case of her lovely images we are dealing with the erect nipple. Not just a nipple, but an erect one. and it is prominently displayed. Not as a peek-a-boo, but it stands statuesque, noble. As if you are saying with your guard down: THIS, world, is my erect nipple. and i don't give a FUCK if you have a problem with it. And so it's that very attitude that arouses me. If i want to see a picture of a nipple i suppose i have, oh, about 10 bazillion nipples at my instant disposal. but when i know the artist/model and i see her work within a larger framework of her art, and THEN i see the erect nipple....well....i am aroused as a man and an artist. This is how I respond to love4life's work. Her artistic statement is bold and respectful, while always holding on to her integrity. She makes for a great model and an even better photographer.
