My photos are mere snapshots of people, places and events. It is only in 2007 that I have started to take photography a bit more serious and enjoy the experimenting allowed with modern cameras and the software which opens so many doors.

People in a crowd is my current theme. I am currently the resident photographer at the Gorman House Markets which is held every Saturday. My main focus there are children and some of the wonderful characters which wonder through.

There is a real hysteria which has gripped Australia when it comes to taking photos of children, fuelled by poor reporting in printed media as well as TV. I like children for their lack of sophistication and honesty, something which seems to get lost in their early teens :-(

We are very lucky in Canberra to have a great variety of birds and I delight in taking many photos of them and feeding a lot of them by hand.

I now use the Olympus E-3 as my main camera, but use some of the older 35mm cameras I have collected as well.

I count sculpting, painting, writing, growing bonsai and taming birds as my hobbies; am always glad to meet new interesting people and never short of a story to tell :-)

I collect aerial maps of Esperanto and Ambessedoria, but my collection is still rather small. Anyone wishing to add to my collection, please do so.
