I am retired now, but have worked as salesman, golf professional, coach, teacher, consultant, writer, and small business owner. Before that, I attended college in Missouri, Michigan and Illinois.

For several years, I photographed sailboats professionally, part-time at first. Most of those yachts were racing at the time. Better photos on the water required sailboats to be in trim, sailing on their lines, preferably with beautiful sails. Racing yachts were the ones that had all of that and more, with lots of color.

Now that I am older and have become a grandpa, I devote more time to photography. As you look through my images, I hope you'll share in some of the beauty I've seen, whether sailing, family, nature or coins.

I must admit that there were many great photographs that I almost took, and many of those will remain in my mind, though I have have tried to employ some of their goodness in other photographs, composites or art.
