Mystical Perceptions of the Ordinary

I live in a small Missouri town just south of Cape Girardeau.

I travel around the Midwest and Southern United States taking pictures of the small towns, and state parks. I like to shoot architecture, street scenes, lakes and streams.

I started taking pictures in 2006,

with a canon point and shoot ps540,

In the fall of 07 I upgrarded to a canon Rebel XTI

I enjoyed all the options the rebel allows me and the raw files provides many more opportunities to work with the images.

In July 2009 I started using Photomatix to process my photos. I tonemap all my images now, even if I only take one shot.

in April 2010 I upgraded to a Canon MarkII 5D. I also moved up to CS5, and updated my computer to a IMac.

In April 2020 I upgraded to a Canon Mark IV 5D after I damaged my Mark II beyond repair.

I am a 2010 graduate of the New York Institute of Photography.

My photos have appeared in numerous national magazines, phone books, and in the halls of hospitals, hotels and banks.

In 2020 one of my photos of the Mississippi River from a bluff in Kentucky was selected to be used on a US Postage stamp as part of a series about the states that border the Mississippi River.
