Rather than describe myself, I'd just like to say that my flickr contacts have had a tremendous impact on my growth as a photographer. Some of you have kept coming, looking and commenting and when I look back some of those photos were pretty awful. I keep looking at all the art on here and I guess it gets absorbed somehow. Mostly, I use photography to try to capture the beauty around us, whether that be landscapes or wildlife.
I'm not much into photoshopping, except cropping and the usual tweak with color balance, saturation, contrast, sharpening, etc. I think there is something wrong with my brain because most of my photos tilt down to the right, so I'm always correcting that.
Most of my photos are landscapes and bears. I love waterfalls and I'll revisit the same falls many times to get shots from different viewpoints and light. I probably wouldn't take a still life or street scene even if a gun was pointed at my head although I admit I find photos by others interesting.
I have my camera with me every day and the one day I forgot this year, I missed an amazing, unique scene. Go figure.
I enjoy your visits and comments and promise to take any criticisms in a positive light. So, criticize away.... please.
