I came by tonight to write something nice about a friend that I have known for over a decade on flickr ....I was thinking of some accurate things to say .....things to say about Larry being an excellent wildfire photographer, that knows light and camera function.....and then I noticed that I indeed wrote one to him in 2011 lololololo......which still stands under my anointed name ( because I reinvented myself and flickr gave me that name ) Quiet wish deleted...Its accurate and still stands true ....I re-read it a couple of times...and its on point ...... so I reprinted it below because I just wanted to say thanks Larry....( again )....... i might not communicate as much as I used to with you ...we all get older...... and time gets eaten up ...but I just wanted to say thanks for the friendship and the numerous compliments you still afford my work after all these years ...which means something to me ......I do hope one day we shoot Rosette 's together ....or you come to Canada and Ill arrange a shoot with me that will blow your mind......thanks for the continual support and kindness Larry .............Your friend ....Howard Brodsky ===================================================================================================================== Quiet Wish (deleted) A while ago I had this Orangutan thumbnail show up on my photo stream dishing out kind words of encouragement I figured this is not going to last for long as I really didn’t know Larry that well and as time progressed I got to know one of the nicest people on flickr who is true, honest, and somebody you can invariably count on for decency, and correctness, which is incredible because like I said before “we are all handicapped by working through the computer screen”. Larry’s work is pretty fantastic and I am not new. Tremendous photo skills matched with color understanding and camera knowledge is an obvious observation when you view his pictures ..Today he blew my mind as he put up a photo of the Rosette Spoonbill shot with my friend Gary …..Envious is putting it mildly ………...aside from shooting a bird I have never even seen before and one which I do have to capture one day ………it was done so remarkably well……..I then looked with more detail at Larry’s work and I guess I have overlooked so much, as I was astonished at what a pro he actually is ……..Larry thank you for all your kind comments and backing, and its time I returned the favor by stating you are an incredible friend on flickr to me, and that you photography represents a greatness of understanding and merit …………your work is just beautifully done and I’m glad we met and I’m fortunate to have you as one of my 100 “flickr friends”…..all in all wonderful work and thanks for always being there with an encouraging compliment …….its always appreciated …Glad we are friends and jealous of where you reside lolololololo………Howard

It has been almost two years since our paths crossed and must say there is no finer stream to explore than Larry’s Photostream! Larry’s capabilities with his equipment are self evident and you will soon be amazed by the quality that is present in each and every capture that he posts to Flickr! His friendship has been a lasting one and it makes a person feel proud when someone with his capabilities gives you a compliment on your work and tells you that you are doing a great job! Never boring and always offering up a variety of shots that demonstrate his skills; a journey through his Photostream is a marvelous treat! A huge thanks to Larry for being a friend! When I joined Flickr earlier this year, Larry was one of the first people to be one of my contacts. I found his photography through a nature group, and was greatly impressed with his skill as a photographer. In addition to being a true professional with a camera, Larry is generous with his praise, and honest with his feedback. Larry sets a tremendous example for the Flickr community. Some of Larry's photos are so stunning that I have asked for (and received) permission to use them as art in my home.
