Drag to set position!
I am currently a father of three wonderful kids and have been married for 9 years. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I have lived most of my life, other than a short stint in Arizona in graduate school.
I first got into photography in high school about 14 years ago, starting with black and white film (including our own processing/printing), under the direction of photographer Tom Szalay (here, and here).
After spending tons of money on film (B&W and slide), photo paper, chemicals, prints, etc), I transitioned into digital 7 years ago when I bought my D70, which is still in use today. (I am hoping to upgrade soon to the d700 or something similar).
I tend to focus on landscapes, but I am constantly trying to do new things and push my thought and creativity beyond my comfort levels.
After seeing this photo by Trey Ratcliff (Stuck in Customs) several years ago by, I began experimenting with HDR and I love it. It is a difficult process and takes a lot of practice and a lot of work, but it can be worth it.
Despite my love for photography, finding time with 3 young kids is very challenging!
