Mary and Liz are sisters who live in Austin, Texas, with our bunny Junebug and our beagle Belle. We love to travel. Under the pen name Frances Hunter, we write historical fiction. To the Ends of the Earth: The Last Journey of Lewis and Clark came out in 2006 and won the Violet Crown Award for Fiction. Our new book, The Fairest Portion of the Globe, will be published in February 2010.

As far as work goes, Liz writes and designs historical exhibits for the Texas State Library and Archives and Mary is a senior systems analyst for

the University of Texas, writing software for university students and staff. Hook 'em Horns!
