Sometimes you get the idea that life is just playing with you. We're all about making lemonade out of lemons, but when you wake up one day and realize that life has you firmly in a headlock, face down in the great toilet bowl of adulthood--it's time to change the rules.

24 years ago, when we fell in love, they said, "You're too young. It'll never work." We paid no attention. 15 years ago, when our son was born with Achondroplastic dwarfism, they said, "You should just discretely adopt him out because special needs kids destroy marriages." We told them to fuck off. 6 years ago my boss zapped my ass with 95,000 volts of electricity. Workers' Comp, a bunch of lawyers, and all my useless doctors said, "This is sad and tragic, but there's nothing we can do about it. You're screwed. Welcome to a lifetime of misery."

1 year ago we sold all our shit and bought a 39' sailboat. This is our family's story about heartbreak and redemption.

We are Steve, Tamiko, and Eli Willie. Sailors, photographers, mechanics, and writers. We are chronically unsuited to an ordinary life. We are prone to adventure. Also, we have a dog.
