My name is Evan Land. I am a college student with a love of photography and a collection of vintage lenses. I spend most of my free time out in the world with a camera by my side.

Who am I?

I am Evan Land. Born and raised in Massachusetts from Wilmington to Scituate. I currently Reside in Burlington, Vermont where I attend Burlington College majoring in Film production. During my vacations back home from school I go to work as a Production assistant on various sets from commercials to short films.

Life Story Involving the Arts

From being raised by a photographer as a dad it is easy to see where the shared attraction to the art from comes from. Since I can remember I have been forced into steampunk like costumes for my dads passion projects being used as an extra for most of his shoots while becoming more and more fascinated with the world behind the camera. On days where my dad was at work I would take his pocket cameras and use them to fulfill my young creative aspirations, experimenting with lego stop motion and jump cut visual effects. I grew a strong love for the magic of visual story telling mostly in the field of video which forced me to gather all of the kids in my neighborhood together to help me in making my own short films. Fast forwarding through my more uneventful years through middle school and most of high school I slowly started to build up my current group of friends that even today help keep my creative juices flowing.

What Do I Photograph?

Life and all of its facets and forms. To be more specific I treat my flickr like a visual capture of my life, documenting my experiences in a single frame. My flickr isn't just a portfolio of my most proud photos but a graphic novel following myself and the people around me. Each photo carries a deep significance and love within my heart and a memory full of rich emotion to go with it.
