I got in to photography around the start of 2011 when I bought my first and only DSLR (Canon 7D). I'm pretty keen to develop my photography and my ability to use photography based puns without anyone noticing. I figured photography blends well with my pre-existing loves of doing dangerous things outdoors and meeting boatloads of strangers.

I decided about a year in that my mission was to create a world-class Iceland album. I appeared to be under the impression that Iceland was an uncharted island that only I had discovered. Having now seen what world-class Iceland photos look like, I'm fairly glad that my photography has gone in a number of other directions.

One thing I enjoy (when somewhere hot) is freediving, and I'm hoping to take that, and photography whilst doing it, considerably further. I shot a fairly decent Hawaii album with a very basic underwater compact. I'm now in the process of upgrading to a Sony RX100 with housing.

I also enjoy night photography in cities. Generally the enjoyment increases with the chance of getting mugged.
