I have always had a strong love affair for art and design, and in particular textiles. I received my formal training for traditional hand embroidery during a three year apprenticeship with the Royal School of Needlework. There, I was taught over sixty different embroidery techniques and styles, including textile restoration. I graduated in 2005, with not only a diploma but with an Award from the Worshipful Company of Gold & Silver Wyre Drawers for a goldwork project undertaken in my second year.

Since graduating I have gained valuable work experience at Philip Treacy’s London Studio, Lulu Guinness head office. I have also had the privilege to undertake several private commissions and have also worked alongside a freelance film and TV costumier on various projects, private clients, stage and screen.

Today I make and design unique pieces whilst continuing to develop and expand upon skills gained from my time at the Royal School of Needlework. Recently I have moved into creating pieces in collaboration with other artists.
