I love trekking in the indian himalayas, living in my house in india, music, books, maps, movies, .........what else? Scarlett Jo, Gibson SG, W.G. Sebald, the 70's Miles Davis, Jon Hassell, italian & asian food, .....and Dub reggae bass notes hittin' my stomach at full volume ........

I once (in another life) studied Graphic Design, where we did have photography for 2 terms.....I wasn't interested at that time....I would rather sit in a park practising scales on my sitar.....

I have found that holding a camera can both be a shield against precarious situations (I immediately remember dives in the Red Sea when I encountered sharks for the first time or suddenly hit a cross current) and a great agent between people. In India most people love having their picture taken. They BEG you to take their picture! So that comes as another treat for me in a country I already have come to love.
