Flickr is brimming full of fantastic photographers, so the highest compliment I can pay Cathya is that there is nobody whose uploads I look forward to more than hers. While the rest of us do our best to capture what we see, Cathya is busy going one step further and creating what she imagines, and that is a wonderful world. What she shares with us are images that are far from two dimensional; they are windows into stories that have a tangible soul and exude emotion. Sometimes that may be humour (both mischievously dark or laughter inducing light), other times it's love, mystery or adventures into wonderfully dreamy fairytales; what is always guaranteed however is the shot will lead your mind on a journey, and that is a rare talent to have. Her Flickr Friday submissions each week are a joy to behold. always prompting two thoughts: Firstly 'How did she think of that?!' quickly followed by 'Grr I'm jealous, I wish I could have thought of that!'. Whilst her creativity may be superb, it would mean nothing if that didn't transfer into the quality of the shot - but such is her talent, that it always does. Angles, expressions, clothing, light are all carefully chosen, and the technical skill she deploys in her photography shows a soft and loving touch. Ultimately Cathya's photography is characterised by one word 'personality', it exudes from her creations, and gives you an insight into the artist herself. Cathya please keep taking the shots you do.
