I am very much a beginner photographer. This is a new hobby, born out of disabily entering my life. It's difficult to go anywhere because it hurts so much to walk. But, taking pictures doesn't bring me pain, it only gives me joy. Being housebound & bored, I had to find something to occupy the many hours during the day. This way my flowers never die & even when I hurt too much to make it outside, I have pictures that are always in bloom. It's just me and my little Casio Ex-Z100 Camera. Sometimes I even use my cell phone, because it catches rich colors so well. . I'm single and disabled with a chronic pain condition called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD/CRPS). Basically the nerves in my ankle can't communicate with my brain anymore, so they are always misfiring. That means it always hurts. Walking, standing, any kind of touch, weather changes and cold can make it so much worse. I've gotten used to living with pain, it's just the bad days that get to me now. You can read more about RSD/ CRPS at www.rsdhope.org. I also struggle with the after effects of cognitive damage from removal of a pituitary cyst back in 2003, Diabetes Insipidus, an Essential Tremor, Asthma, High Blood Pressure & Tachycardia. I'm single because my ex couldn't handle this & I haven't been lucky enough to meet someone who can. I'm still looking. My disability doesn't define who I am, it just makes me stronger emotionally & more determined to do as much as I can on my own. I hope you enjoy looking at my pics. They are taken with love. Thanks for looking.
