I'm a licensed psychotherapist currently on an extended sabbatical. I have many hobbies: music, dance, writing, gaming, sewing, historical costuming, design. I've always loved taking pictures, but intentional photography is a newer passion of mine.
Some of my older (digital) stuff was taken on an HP Photosmart 812, which was our first digital camera (bought in 2002!). Before that I had a Vivitar 35mm film point and shoot camera that was fairly craptastic. Since making the leap to digital, I've found I'm pretty much a Canon girl at heart, and I take pictures primarily with a Canon A620 or 30D.
I use Linux exclusively, and I edit primarily with The GIMP with UFRAW plugin for processing RAW files. I also occasionally use Bibble Pro, which is available in Linux, Mac, and Windows versions.
You can often find me online at www.fark.com where I participate in the weekly Farktography contests (under the name Elsinore). More info on that is available at farktography.net
I have too many toys; it's starting to get ridiculous!

*ahem* Is this thing on? Oh, okay. Everyone else pretty much summed it up, so I'll just say Lady E's awesome, and, uhh, don't do drugs, mmkay?
lady_e is one of my absolute favorites. Her passion for photography is evident in her images - I always love checking out her newest creations. You'd also be hard pressed to find a kinder, sweeter, friendlier person on Flickr and I'm so glad to have met her. She's what makes Flickr a great place to visit. And she's a … Read more

Not only a dear friend, Lady_Elsinore inspired me to pick up my camera again, mainly by her energy and passion for her own work, but also by her love of everyone elses. Her drive to learn new things, to share with you what she finds and to wrap you up in the excitement that it all generates is deeply inspiring, you cant help but get better results yourself.. as youll always be excited to share them with her afterwards! I love her ability to see a picture, in the most mundane of objects. Ive always said, 'Anyone can take stunning shots of stunning subject matter, but it takes a truely inspirational photographer to take stunning shots of every day things.' She is my inspiration.

lady_elsinore is not only a wonderful photographer, she puts ALOT of energy into the entire image making process. From the moment of capture to the final work, you can tell that there is much thought going into her photography. As well, she is a very driven advocate of the learning process of appreciating the visual image. Not only does she excel with her own work, she has gone far and above with helping others improve their work. I am very glad to have met her on flickr and am happy she is on my team!!!
