I am Lacye A. Brown (AppleHead). I've been an artist all my life but what artist hasn't? I use to focus on Fine Arts, acrylics and I gravitated towards abstract mixed media. I enjoyed interpreting my imagination and the excitement of selling my art. As I was creating pieces for galleries, I would occasionally do vinyl sculptures as a stress-or from the Fine Arts. Ultimately, I decided to switch my main focus from the Fine Arts to Vinyl Toy art.

I haven't looked back since. Every time I hold a piece of clay in my hands, I feel at ease. I enjoy incorporating what I have learned through mixed media fine arts into my urban designs as well. I am happy to start a vinyl designs and even more elated to see my imagination come to life.

I enjoy challenging myself. I believe it's the only way to get better. I am excited for this chapter in my artistic journey. When I was in grade school, I was called, "Apple Head" for the proportion of my body-to-head ratio. It never really affected me but the name stayed with me. As an adult doing urban art, I needed a surname. I felt it was only appropriate to turn a negative into a positive.....Thus welcome the birth of AppleHead Toys.

I have been doing art all my life. It wasn't until a couple of years ago, I decided to focus on sculpting and attempting to visualize my imagination in the real world. The AppleHead world allows me to do this. Besides, who doesn't like apples?
