My profession is Landscape Architecture, but I'll be a student of photography forever. It was a difficult transition for me from film to digital - mostly due to the cost of DSLR's at the time. About 2012, I bought a used Canon 60D, and donated my film gear - I did keep my old trusty Pentax ME Super that went to college with me. Since that time, I've upgraded camera bodies twice and thanks to digital, and the camera capabilities of smartphones, I'm almost never without a camera - because you never know when the light will be just right...
