Grew up in beautiful Sussex County, New Jersey (Newton), went to Lock Haven State College and then moved to the SF Bay Area in 1982. Have been a computer programmer since then. I was the 130th employee at Oracle.

In 2006, walked into Aria in SF and purchased a work by Jack Howe www.jackhowe.net and was hooked on Assemblage. His work reminded me of my childhood friend - Mark Vincent Gray - because we started the Monster Club - and spent hours (pre 4th grade) drawing monsters. He is now a very well known artist - does the programs for the San Jose Sharks www.marksartworld.com/ .

Still having fun these days - I've met lots of very nice people on flickr. My wife - who is a culinary artist and weaver (on an antique loom) and who shares my passion for art is the best companion I could ever ask for.

My son's Graham and Trevor are quite the artists - and quite the characters.

I have a blog at

Rich was my first introduction to Assemblage. It's a fascinating art, and he has mastered it in my eyes. Creepy skulls, baby dolls, old timey radio paraphenalia, it's all transformed in his work. So, what are you waiting for? Go give your mind a spin!

I can smell my childhood, my eyes are fully nourished and my heart swells. Tha… Read more
