Gwen started this Flickr account in 2007 with the nickname Kwebbel... She loves taking pictures, even though she's not a real photographer. She started 365-selfportretting with our tiny compact camera (HP M627). The quality wasn't any good, but just loved to shoot and process the pictures. We always envied people with a Digital SLR-Camera because their pictures looked so much nicer...

Gwen's favorite objects are people and dogs! And Tom is mostly interested in what he can do with the camera, artistically speaking... And since we got a puppy Border Collie (Indi) in September 2009 the old camera just wasn't quick enough to shoot her fast moving puppy madness. Only one thing to do...

So since November we have a Nikon D3000. Started with a kit with the Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55mm VR. Soon afterwards we bought the Sigma - 70-300mm F4.0-5.6 DG Macro which provided enough zoom to make some nice action shots. Also it has an macro function...

Recently we added a SIGMA Flash EF-500 DG Super to the collection which opened up a whole scala of artistic possibilities...

Tom followed photography classes in school, among other things.He caught the photography-bug again when we bought our first D-SLR camera and started to fool around with it. Now that he's also producing some nice shots we have changed the account to 'fotoham'... that's a combination of the dutch word for photo and Ham is the place we live at in Belgium.
