People say to me "Wow, you take a lot of photographs, don't you? You must really like taking photographs!" And I say to them "You know -- as a child, I used to collect sports cards. I hated sports -- but the thrill of finding _just_that_card_!! was simply awesome. Now -- its all about getting the shot! " ...After the shot is taken, its fun to play with them -- but its all about getting the image that matches the one in my head. That's the hunt, that's the thrill.

I started with a poor, sadly battered, 3mp Olympus with no flash and that only worked sometimes and had a distinctly DIFFERENT idea about 'auto focus' than I do, but have recently managed to upgrade to a Nikon D40X DSLR -- the learning and the doing and the sheer possibilities of the DSLR are enough to keep me interested for quite a while I think.

Thanks for looking -- I hope you enjoy looking at my 'trophies' as much as I enjoyed trying to catch them! I am NOT a professional photographer, but I'm always trying to get better.
