My passion is in theater and I'm fascinated with masks. When I saw Tony Montanaro, master mime/actor, performing short bits on Arlequino of Commedia Del Arte with it’s character mask on, I was blown away in the speed of light years and I'm gone gone gone!
Origami is my another blow. Recently I found origami tessellation online and was up all night long. Many thanks to all the origami artists sharing diagrams with a new comer like me!
Born and raised in Osaka, Japan, now live in the USA.
I speak 3 languages of Japanese, English and Osaka-ben. (If you know what I mean, you are my friend.) I’m a Japanese Storyteller and perform with mask, mime, music and a touch of magic.
I never thought of becoming a storyteller. I came to the USA to study mime – fascinated by silence. But life is funny – I became a storyteller not much to do with silence.
After studying with Tony Montanaro in the USA I meant to go back to Japan but I have been here forever. Life is funny. It doesn't go the way you think. I’d like to see how funny it gets all the way!
