Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy what you find. I've been photographing for a few years on-and-off but really started focusing on it (so to speak) about a year ago after taking an excellent class at a local photography center.

Photography for me is a way to connect closely with what's around me. Whether that's observing the subtle shifts in light on a mossy log over the course of a minute or observing how the sun lights up different parts of a tree over the course of a year, I think it all comes down to forming and maintaining a close connection with what enthralls you.

I prefer not to use the word "capture"; for an image as that seems to suggest that I have imprisoned something. I didn't really have it to begin with and I don't really have it now either; I just was fortunate enough to witness it and -- for lack of a better word -- record it and then, share it.
