I've dabbled in photography nearly my entire life. My first camera was a pinhole camera I made during a summer enrichment program while I was in elementary school; I mostly used it to take pictures of my stuffed animals.

Now I use two cameras -- a Canon EOS 10D digital SLR when I don't mind hauling around a heavy camera and assortment of lenses, and an Olympus Stylus 770SW when I do. I still mostly take pictures of animals (well, my poodles) but no longer limit myself to the stuffed variety.
