Welcome to my profile! Thanks for stopping by to learn a little bit about me.

I have a profound love and respect for the natural world, and find myself continually fascinated by the things to be learned from it. I feel very at home out in the bush and enjoy documenting the details that catch my eye, via my photography.

I got introduced to taking pictures at a young age. I can't remember what my first working camera was a little red 110 job, can't seem to find a picture but I might still have the camera. If I find it I'll be sure to post a picture of it here for you to see. I photographed anything and everything - poorly, but who cares? I like to think my technique has improved since then.

Currently I am shooting with Amelia - A Canon T1i Rebel. My lens kit includes a Canon 55-250, Canon 18-55, and a Tamron 70-300. My tripod is a broken-down, abused, cheap old thing. I keep wanting to replace it but those things are expensive! Not the greatest for shooting northern lights but I find if you hang enough things from the tripod to steady it, you can still lots of the wobbles.

Inventiveness is key.
