Kris Hundt is a Dallas, Texas based photographer, specializing in portraits of people in their environments. She approaches each portrait as a collaboration with her subject, drawing inspiration from the personal connections she forges during the shoot. Her editorial images have been published in national magazines, as well as annual reports, advertising and the web. Her personal work include her “Photo a Day” blog project in 2008 and her current 52 Portraits project, creating intimate portraits of 52 subject throughout 2009/2010.

Kris is an avid traveler: someone who loves the road and loves reflecting life on the road through the images she makes. Most recently she created photographs on location in Edinburgh, Vancouver, New York and the Andes Mountains in Ecuador.

She is passionate about her work, her images and her environment.

“Photography is so freeing.” Says Kris, “The world is a beautiful place; you just have to be open to seeing it.”
