I'm nineteen and lovin' every minute of it!

Discovering my love for the art of photography has allowed for me do something that I haven’t been able to do before: define myself. When conceptualizing for a shoot, ideas of what I want to achieve easily flow from my mind. These ideas express who I am and incorporate my personality. In the process of taking a photo, I am able to break free of the perfectionist values I seem to be bound to. Photography is something that doesn’t have to be defined, so I can experiment with the levels of perfection and push ideas to the edge. Seeing the world in an abundance of different lights, colors, and angles means paying attention to the small things: something that many don’t do. Taking my dark soul and developing it into a photo is exhilarating. Being in my photos without being in my photos is a splendid thing. Photography is my outlet; with it I have learned how to appreciate the beauty of such a complicated world.
