I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite toys as a young child was a wooden Fisher Price "camera" that let me "take photos" of different fairytale scenes. To me, photography is about seeing -- the details, the colors, aspects and perspectives that may or may not stand out in a scene.

The more I get out and take photos the better I see the beauty in every day life, noticing the obscure and discovering new views all around me.

Many of the photos that I have posted on Flickr are from my many trips to China over the past 13 years. For those who haven't been to China, it is an amazing place full to the brim with culture, color, history, and places and people yet to be discovered. I hope to get back one day soon to explore and "see" even more.

I hope that you enjoy looking through my photos and if an image inspires you or challenges you to do something that you love (or have always wanted to try), then I have succeeded in sharing my small view of the world.
