For me, photography has always been a form of self expression, an escape and most importantly a passion. Ever since high school I have been using cameras to document my life, which has naturally given me an edge with documentary style photography. My aim has always been to capture moments which tell a story of realness, honesty and emotion - with this in mind I believe photographs can have the power to be a mirror into people's lives, world affairs and changing environments. I am not a fan of setting up shots, forcing fake smiles, or making people look better than they are. I use photography to capture the beauty and the grim for exactly as they are, to bring insight and awareness into the real world that we live in.
