My best HDR so far: "Shisha Boy"
My photography passion began with flickr. Seeing what talented people can create through a camera got me excited.
I first started my own journey with Fuji Finepix Z3. It's a compact camera with a lot of potential. If you browse through my pix taken with this tiny cam, you won't believe what it can do.
Then I got my jaws dropped on HDR. People like "Stuck In Customs" and "Kris Kros"left me stunned with my jaws dropped.
I instantly jumped onto the HDR wagon with my Z3. Setting the exposure level manually between shots made it a bit difficult, but seeing the final composition of the picture made it worth it.
Now, I felt I needed to take my photography skills to the next level, and that level needed a new camera. My next stop: Digital SLR.
My wife nearly killed me for spending around 900$....but again, when she saw what type of photos this camera can produce, she wanted to take it from me ;)
I chose the Canon Digital Rebel XT over Nikon www.flickr.com/cameras/nikon/d40.
I did my homework before taking the purchase. Read tons of reviews, I checked each camera's potential through submitted photos on flickr. Even the guys at bestbuy recommended the Canon. Warmer colors, better battery life..etc.
But what really made the difference was the AEB (automatic exposure bracketing). Canon was a clear winner for me.
