Rare is the occasion in which a person one meets in real life is true to his or her online persona. Kathleen, however, is as sweet and kind and generous and thoughtful as she has always seemed to be to me. As for her photography... perhaps it is due to the perspective she has gained as a teacher, or perhaps because of her love for children, but Kathleen photographs children as well as anyone I've ever seen. She sees so much more than lights and darks and colour and composition... she sees the life that bursts from them.
