"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
- Oscar Wilde.
I am a person who dreams, who cherishes, and loves. I am loved. I am deeply grateful for my family. I am fortunate. I am also no stranger to mistakes. Although I often fail miserably, I never stop dreaming and wishing for more. Yes, I quit things every once in a while. That's only because time is far too valuable to waste on something my soul refuses to pursue wholeheartedly. While some may see a dying star, I see a supernova waiting to happen.
I am a few months shy of turning 20. I don't have many credentials, luxurious photography equipment, or even a visually stunning website to showcase my talent or my passion. What I do have is an open heart that wants you to be aware of my shortcomings and my flaws and my deep, ardent desire to capture the delicacy of life and the beauty around us. Life happens too quickly. The most precious moments of our lives are so fleeting, so fragile, so vulnerable to the seas of forgetfulness.
I feel that I was born to be a shutterbug. I am "home" when I look through the viewfinder and see a smiling face looking right back at me. This is what I was born to do :) If you've read this far, we can go about this wondrous journey together, this journey of risk and adventure and joy. It's about time we stop existing and start living.
