I'm a young guy from the island of Guernsey who enjoys taking photos. That's pretty much it. For my earlier photos, I use a Canon Powershot S2 IS; and for the more recent ones, a Canon EOS 450D. Most of the photos have been touched up in Adobe Photoshop CS2 or Lightroom by me, usually stuff like adding a bit of contrast or changing the levels.

I'm not really a great photographer by any means but I like to learn about the camera and the techniques used, and hopefully improve the quality of my pictures as a result.

I don't really see myself as ever doing this as a profession (although I would certainly enjoy doing it if I did get into it), as I mainly do it as a hobby. But one of my goals is to become fairly apt at the art of photography, because my Grandfather was very good at it, selling most of his works, and my Dad also helped get me into it, and you can check out his account on Flickr (Ricko800).
