I've been a photography hobbyist for around 20 years. Lately I'd been feeling uninspired and unmotivated. Covid-19 only made it worse. Then I discovered glitch art, and now I've been creating images like crazy. I'm using this flickr account to post my favorite results of this experiment. We'll see how it goes.

I'm in San Jose, California.

How I create these images: These are all photographs that have been converted into headerless raw files, opened with MS Excel, then saved as text files. This process causes corruption in the image data, hence the "glitch art" tag. The files are then converted into tif files for editing in Lightroom. By preparing the original images in particular ways before loading them into Excel I have some control over the outcome, but there's still a lot of serendipity. The images you see here only vaguely resemble the images I started with.
