Many years ago I worked in a light house. One night after a particularly violent storm I saw a woman struggling out on the rocky cliffs under the tower. I managed to get down the stairs quick enough to see a large fish tail disappearing back into the waves. Well, from then on I would spend a lot of time searching for her. I would sing songs, whistle, whittle, stick love notes in bottles...anything I thought might get her attention. Months later I found myself in the middle of a gigantic storm. I was in my yellow raft trying to fix one of the buoys that had gone astray.... when it hit me. The 30 foot wave. Kerrrash! It sent me in the drink fast. Running out of breath rapidly I swirled around in the ebony undertow. Just as I was about to pass out ...two delicate hands reached out of the darkness...and then nothing.
