A native of Tampa Florida, I am a retired orthopedic surgeon that has a life-long passion for photography and enjoy taking pictures that require a thorough understanding of light. Having the correct awareness of one’s light source is essential and provides the foundation of photography.

 

I learned film photography while in high school and began experimenting controlling light with alterations of the cameras shutter speed and F/stop. Because of my surgeon’s background, I tend to gravitate towards the technical aspect of things, and I love to take challenging photographs that will occasionally require very fast or slow shutter speeds. These techniques can many times enhance the artistic aspect of a photograph.

 

I have been blessed to have been able to share my photography through numerous awards, exhibitions and through several regional and national photography publications. I enjoy both color and black and white landscape/seascape, street photography, still, architectural, and abstract photography.
