Retired in New Mexico (from Missouri). Former research and planning director for a government department. Current VP on the board of the New Mexico Architectural Foundation. A writer and photographer: one inspires the other. I keep six personal blogs on WordPress and manage the Foundation's online Guide to New Mexico Architecture [ nmarchitectureguide.org/ ]

I'm an avid fly fisherman and enjoy rambling in New Mexico's outdoors. My photography favors landscapes and architecture but I am pretty eclectic in my photo subjects. I never go anywhere in New Mexico without a camera. I'm easily distracted and end up with lots of photos.. Missouri photography was mostly of the great river valleys -- Missouri & Mississippi.

My workhorse camera is a Nikon Coolpix ultrazoom that replaced my retired Olympus SP800UZ ultrazoom that replaced an earlier Olympus. I still drag out the Olympus SP800UZ on occasion. I recently acquired a Nikon Z fc with a couple lenses. It hasn't yet become my favored camera but I'm trying to use it more. I use my cell phone camera on occasion. I recently subscribed to Lightroom so I am learning that. I have an old peculiar Kodak pocket video camera that also takes stills. There is something "wrong" with it now because the stills come out distorted but looking like watercolors. Some are pretty interesting.
