I reside in Ohio with my husband and two dogs, I spent my career teaching art. Over the years I worked with all grade levels, I spent the last 18 years teaching junior high and loved them! My retirement has been my "renewal" now I am enjoying the extra time exploring my own interests.

Creating digital paintings from photograhy has caught my interest. I find the process allows me to combine a love of photography and painting. Photography allows you to focus on capturing moments in time using light, texture, color and subject matter to create a mood. The aspects of painting using colors and texture are the features that intrigued me. The digital paintings satisfy both interests and combine them into unique creations. While some pure artists claim the computer does the creation, an artist eye was required to capture the photograph and the artist needs to create and select the combination of manipulations to create the pleasing finished prooduct.

My style of works are intended to evoke a calming mood, I find myself attracted to works that relax or provide an opportunity for quiet reflection.
