I currently live in Minnesota, just Northwest of the Twin Cities, although I grew up in Iowa and hold a fondness for rural photography. Hence my frequent faving of several talented Iowa photographers.

My Gear

The vast majority of my photography has been done with Canon gear, although a number of images date back to my medium format Pentax days, and a growing number are iPhone pictures. my current cameras are Canon’s 5D Mark II, and the G10 pocket camera when that is all I can bring with me. I still have a few film cameras sitting around that I haven’t been able to part with, but it’s been awhile since they’ve seen any clicks.

My Software

Most of my shooting is in the RAW format so a lot of my time is spent in Adobe Lightroom 3 which takes care of most of my basic edits. When I need layers masks or panoramas I use CS5 and recently have starting liking Nik’s Silver Efex 2 for Black and White Conversions.
